Trogir
… “If you ever set off towards a beautiful south, stand in front of Trogir, dock the boat, under the walls of the city”… This verse was written by famous Croatian poet Vladimir Nazor after he visited this beautiful, small town. If you want to see for yourself what inspired him, join us on Trogir guided tour of Old Town. Trogir is a small town between Croatia’s mainland and the island of Čiovo.
It is hard to find another town on the Mediterranean as small as Trogir and as rich in respect of the cultural heritage. Trogir is also a part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
This small town is a mosaic of monuments that date from the ancient Greek period to the Middle Ages and further on to the present. Stroll through the streets of this charming little town and imagine how it was before. Admire an undeniable masterpiece of the Cathedral of St. Lawrence and the famous Romanesque Lunette of Radovan. Also you will visit 15th century’s palaces of noble families, the Town hall and 11th century’s Benedictine monastery. The tour guide will show you the sights in Trogir and tell you all about the history of the place and buildings. If you need any information about what you can do in Trogir for the rest of your stay, or restaurants with domestic food, feel free to ask. Insure yourselves to spend your holiday learning and having fun at the same time!
